It is not intended to be an ultimate guide that covers all skills and aspects in TCOS. This little guide is aimed at new void seers to give some hints in combat. Hope it could be helpful and TCOS Gold may help you. Have a good tim in Goldceo!
Level 1-5:
Skill Set 1
Tap Magic is a very useful skill since it does not only heal once but also heals every time you damage an enemy with a magic skills. The heals are not very large but they keep you alive much longer.
Pounding Shards is a very nice skill especially in combination with Tap Magic running. It deals damage to your target and two others near that target. If you miss the target though no one will get hit with damage so make sure you aim well.
Level 6-10:
Skill Set 2
Rising Stakes is similar to Pounding Shards. The difference is that you don't have to aim at and hit any specific target but just into a direction. Up to three mobs close by in that direction get hit by damage.
Shell Shock is a magic skill meaning that in combination with Tap Magic it also heals you. It deals heavy heroic damage. This means that if you have higher Morale (blue) than your target it deals more damage. Perfect especially with at least one PeP level - you'll have more morale than your target from the beginning of the fight.
Level 11-15:
Skill Set 3
Rising Gust gives you Calibrate which practically doubles any magic damage output while your combo points count up, it is a combo opener. Make sure you're close to the target though when executing this. If you do not hit any target with this melee skill the combo does not open and you will have to wait for the 10sec cooldown before you can try to open the combo again.
Mind Blade gives both you and your target 6 secs melee resistance. Since you have a lot of magic damage skills that means 6 seconds in which your target can't harm you but you can harm the target (and heal yourself if you have tap magic running).
Dead Air is the perfect skill for fleeing from a fight or rushing into a group to hit someone with your Rising Gust. It can be used while running and gives you, party members and three nearby enemies immune all (no damage taken from attacks) and silence (no magic skills can be used).
The general downside of mainly using magic skills is that they lock you to your place during execution meaning you can't really make use of the tcos gold combat system and dodge attacks efficiently.
