Yearning:
The Chronicles of Spellborn are interactive stories in which you are given choices at the end of each page. These choices allow you to change the path of the story.
Sometimes there are many options, sometimes there is just one. Choose wisely and you may be rewarded with new artwork, make a poor choice and you might have to start all over again.
Playing these interactive stories will give you a first peek into the world, and it might even give you a little head start once the game is released.
We hope you enjoy these stories and invite you to comment about them in the official forums.
A blood-red haze dims your vision as you struggle to open your eyes. You moan feebly as a terrible flash of agony stabs down through the base of your skull to your neck and shoulders. Almost losing consciousness again, you rest your forehead on the hard floor on which you are lying. After a few dazed moments you realize that your hands are tied behind your back. Your legs are tied as well. It is pitch black and you can't see a thing. Your mouth tastes of iron ??샠blood, you realize with shock ??샠and you are incredibly thirsty. As your mind surfaces from the abyss of nothingness, the pain at the back of your skull becomes worse. You grit your teeth and try to remember what happened.
It comes back in a blinding flash: you followed Jabot Munga, the Arena Master of The Chronicles of Spellborn Gold, to a chamber somewhere below the Arena amphitheatre. He rapidly descended a flight of decrepit stairs. Somewhere you heard water running in the distance and you knew that you were deep below the Arena, entering the dreaded catacombs under the fighting pits. At a certain point, Munga stopped in front of a large brass door. He retrieved a key from his belt and opened the gate. He stepped beyond the threshold, then turned and said, You followed him into the room. Someone hit you hard across the head from behind. Blackness took you.
Now you lie, tied like a hog, on a wooden floor in total darkness.
